    Actions.

    Go to window show Actions.
Create a folder and call it resize.
Select that folder, press record on the bottom of the pallet.
Go through your normal resizing proceedure etc and when finished press stop on the actions pallet (next to record).

Now open a new image and select the resize folder in your actions pallet and press play. Just repat the play action over and over for each image.

Irfanview is a small, free program available on download.com. It has a good batch conversion feature. I find it much easier to use than photoshop actions. Might be worth a look.
