I know this is better suited to the tv forum but I felt id get a better sample of the irish population here. Just in case people arent aware RTE have decided to show Brian Kennedy on thursday night and have cancelled the sopranos. I wasnt aware there are people still alive who watch the eurovision but apparently their are so many avid fans that the semi-finals of this "competition" is screened ahead of one of the most popular television shows of all time.

What would you rather watch on Thursday evening 47 votes

That's not a valid reason to post it in AH. read the charter.

Is that the choice (in your gaff)?

    What about Mastermind?

I think I'll read my History of Mathematics...

I'm d one who voted for eurovision. I'll be watching it. O no actually, it clashes with Big Brother 7 launch show.

Christsake. A two hour semi-final and then 3hours for the final on Saturday? What a shytefest!

I suppose one positive way of looking at it is that I'll be getting rid of my bad-tv-karma prior to the world cup rather than after it.

Sopranos. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, but I would love if Brian Kennedy won the Eurovision and then the plane went down on the way home. Wouldn't that be so funny! It's tragic, that's what I like about it

Put then he wouldn't be able to spend 10 weeks on irish tv presenting RTÉ's Pop Idol. [Not You're A Star]

I'd rather study. And that says a lot...

    Eurovision? Lordi ftw!
    Not a Sopranos fan either.
I voted Atari Jaguar, I've got the whole series 1 of The L Word on DVD calling out to me :)

Yip, they use the set from the old ITV show Gladiators. Standing atop big spinning poles while walloping each other with giant sponge cotton buds, all culminating in 200 weird europeans running the wrong way up a travelator. Those who slip off get fed to the hungry hungry hippos at the bottom
beats hearing them sing any day.

Probably neither, but I'd happily watch Soprano's over the eurovision (which I hate with a vengence)

The sopranos!! But I do have a place in my heart for the Eurovision also :o

I like the sopranos, but I'll be watching Eurovision out of curiousity and for the laugh factor. The scandanavian death metal band should give a chuckle.

Iceland for the win though, what a ****ed up song! :D
