I was wondering if windows formatted drives will now work with the intel based macs?

Specifically, i have an iPod which is windows based (it has all the songs/photos from my laptop) and i'm thinking of buying a new intel based iMac, will I be able to use them together?

On a broader level aswell, my dad has a spare 100g external HD, will i be able to use this to transfer all my files from my PC/Laptop to my new mac?

Anyone know if the intel chip makes this possible or has anyone tried it?

OS X (regardless of hardware) will read and write to FAT32 and read only from NTFS. The ipod will be formatted FAT so that will be fine, as for the hdd it will depend
