Hi can anyone suggest a good antispam solution to go onto exchange 2003 on an SBS2003 server?

Havnt used any before so want to see peoples opinions before we shell out cash on the software.

Have you installed the intelligent message filter? it's a start and free. We use CanIt by Roaring Penguin. It works pretty well along with IMF.

What corporate anti-virus solution do you use. Most vendors offer Anti-Spam packages that can integrate nicely.

Otherwise checkout www.msexchange.org for the top 10 (voted) list of AV/AS products for Exchange.

GFI Mail Essentials is pretty good. Although I prefer offsite version for obvious reasons.

Havnt tired the IMF no must have a look at that. Going to give GFI mail essentials a trial and see how that goes. Its only one or two old addresses that collect a lot of spam, most of the company is okay its just the MD happens to have one of the worst affected addys.

Wizzard thanks for the msexchange.org link excellent resource! Ive kind of fallen into the role of lan admin and have a lot to learn about exchange so cheers!

    They tend to :D

If I were you I would consider a forwarding SMTP server in front of Exchange that you can use to scan all mail before it even gets to Exchange.

www.spamfighter.com is a great product for exchange. MS do an antispam plugin for SBS too. Nothing great but it helps.
