Chinese wrecks around Ireland

My cousin's neighbour (convoluted I know) is convinced there are some 15th century Chinese junks wrecked off the southeast coast. He's a bit if an amateur marine historian so I'm taking the old man's claims at face value.

Has anyone heard similar tall tales?

    This page:

    http://www.1421.tv/pages/evidence/content.asp?EvidenceID=344

    Mentions the following:

    Shipwrecks
    • Legend of wrecked Chinese junk on Cape Clear Island
    • Cedric Bell’s finds (Summer 2003) by Magnetic Anomaly Survey – Aran Islands: 2 junks buried in stone built harbours (same size as New Zealand junks) and 2 more breached buried under beach. Also man-made stone canals; stone piers; outer fortress walls; double anchors.

Doesn't sound like anyting that one could dive, though.
