I felt this would be a fun thread as I always like hearing about peoples line up.

I'm currently in my third season as portsmouth. Finishing 6th in the first season and fifth in the second season but winning the fa cup at the same time.

At the start of the third season my line up is as follows

    Gavarncvic
    Zonneveld

    Arshavin
    D'Allessandro
    Guarin
    Gokdeniz

    Defoe
    Carew

I have Arshavin running all the way up to the goal line and gokdeniz going to the attacking mid position also D'Allessandro is running to the mid attacking line.

    My Subs are
    Westerveld
    Fitz Hall
    Grandioni
    Lua Lua
    Ali Karimi
    Mendes
    Matt Taylor
    Garry O'Neil

    I started a game with Chelsea just to see how much I could spend. At the start of my second season, I've come up with this collection;

    Cech
    Rafinha
    Terry
    Ramos
    Heinze
    Mascherano
    ----Robben
    Lampard
    Duff--
    Torres
    Podolski

I've spent about 150 million IIRC

Very nice lineup. I'd say you're walking most of the tournaments you enter! Has the president come in over your head and bought any superstars yet? Happened with me, Perez signed Henry for £50 million!

So I finished my third season in second place 13 points behind winners Arsenal. I also won the Uefa cup in dramatic fashion beating AEK on penalties.

I applied and was appointed manager of Slovakia, and had a dissapointing European Championships, being drawn in a group of death spain germany and the czech republic, I managed only one point drawing one one against the czechs, I lost one nil against spain and 2-1 against germany.
During the summer was an interesting time as I was approached by first Barcalona who offered me over 100 million to spend on players, I declined as I had just got pompey to the champions league and wanted to continue their rise to glory. Mourinho got the Barca job, Chelsea were next to come knocking on my door offering another substantial wage and transfer budget but they had a poor season the season before and weren't even in europe, but the lure of having Trevez playing for me was tempting. So I remain at Fratton park and having completed some further refurbishments and an extension it sits at 36000 seats with underground heating and a world class youth academy.

I brought in some more players during the summer including bringing back pompey favourite Jermaine Defoe making a net return of 25million on having him sold to Chelski and buying him back half a year later.

At the start of the fourth season my line up is as follows

    Issaksson
    Amaral
    Svensson
    Gavarncvic
    Zonneveld

    Arshavin
    D'Allessandro
    Kallstrom
    Jiminez

    Defoe
    Carew

The rest of my squad are:
    Moens (gk)
    Elefetheropolo (gk)
    Srna
    Fitz Hall
    Matt Taylor
    Grandoni
    Freddy G
    Dusan Djuric (good player)
    Gokedoniz
    Lua Lua
    Ali Karimi
    Gary O'Neill

Carshalton, in my second season. Quite gratifying to see they got relegated from the Conference South in real life, instead I got them promoted! Staying just clear of the relegation battle, for now.

I'm playing FM2005 and I'm in the 2005/06 season with Crystal Palace, we didn't win anything last season but finished in a very respectable fourth (this is Palace we're talking about here!) and this season, now it has just past Christmas, we're sitting pretty at the top of the Premiership and in the second round of the Champions League.

    Jan Lastuvka

    Philip Lahm-Michael Dawson-Fitz Hall-Dédé

    Cristoffer Andersson-Mark Van Bommel-Cristiano Zannetti-Vasilis Tsiartias

    Andy Johnson-Alan Shearer

    Subs:
    Kasper Schmeichel
    Freddy Adu
    Daniel Fredheim Holm
    Lebohang Mokoena
    Benedict Vilakazi

    Mihilovic----Sodje

    Dorivia

    Klingberg
    Terry

Few seasons later, and my Carshalton team now lines up as: Roberts, Murray, Cathcart, Smith, Spearing, Barnett, Gill, Lloyd, Simpson, Hamed, Fagan.

More galacticos, but now I'm top of League Two by 5 points. West Ham came in for Scott Sinclair (see above, ex Chelsea youth) for £1.5m+ which left me sorted financially. Gill & Simpson are ex Arsenal youths, Hamed and Smith ex Spurs youth... and that's about it wrt recognisable names!

Im playing Cm 03/04, as Lazio and its january 2008....my first 11 is:

    1.Maénpáé

    De La Cuesta----Dawson---Adriano----Oddo

    Vieira

    Daniel Carvalho
    Christian Wilhelmson

    Diego

    Luca Toni
    Robinho

    Subs:
    Joaquin Vega
    José
    Phillipe Mexes
    Roque Junior
    Gaél Clichy
    Michael Carrick
    Pedro Mendes
    Johnathon Blondel
    Pedrinho
    Aaron Lennon
    Mateja Kezman.

Luca Toni had to have been the buy of the century, he had a buy-out clause of £3.6m, bargain as he is a 20 goal a season striker. Got Robinho on a free, Wilhelmson for £3m(buy-out clause, well worth it too because he scores loads!).

Vieira, Carvalho, and Kezman were my most expensive players, £19m £12m and £16m for all three over the last few seasons.

Both my goalkeepers were cheap, one of them free (Maenpae, who i have no idea where he comes from!) and the other for £1m from Zaragosa. Had to get them quite quickly at the start of this season, because Peruzzi retired and i had no other keepers!

Im struggling a bit, and its a bit weird that i only have 2 italian players but im so addicted...!

Its been a while since I wrote on this thread, last time I did it was at the start of my fourth season.
An eventful season that saw Pompey win Everything that they could,
Community Shiled, European Super Cup, World Club Championship, League Cup, Fa Cup and the Champions League.
I also compounded this by winning the World Cup with France. (Yes I sold out by leaving the mighty Slovaks for the talented French.)

With the French national team I assembled a world class back room staff including Jurgen Klinsmaan, Carlos Queireouz, and Peter Beardsly.
I sailed through the World Cup with my only tough match was the Final against Spain which I won 2-1 with both goals coming from veteren Striker Thierry Henry.

As for Pompey, well they were shown to be a class above the rest. Winning the Premiership with 5 games to go.

    Issakson
    ----Amaral
    Gavrancic
    Svensson
    Zonneveld
    ----Arshavin
    Kallstrom
    Guarin
    Messi

    Oberman
    Defoe

    Squad includes:
    Moens
    Lua Lua
    Carew
    Dusan Djuric
    Fitz Hall
    Grandoni
    Kerlon
    D'allesandro
    Sissoko
Too many more quality players to name.

In the preseason Fitz Hall, Grandioni and Lua Lua all left on free transfers, Wright Philips came in for 2.5 million from Chelski and Vincent Kompany came in to bolster the defence, arriving on a Bosman Ruling.
Fratton park now has a 42000 capacity and the under 18s have won their league three years running.

The only question is has the manager done all he can with the club, indeed is their anything more he can do with Portsmouth?
With his contract due to run out at the end of the season it remains to be seen whether he will sign a new one pledging his future to Pompey.

well i've just joined Wolves(in my second week so i cant really name my best team) from Sligo Rovers so i'll give my best Rovers team instead..

    Talia

    -- Curran---Molloy
    Guthrie---Foy--
    D'Laryea
    --Anderton-O' Grady----Tyrell----Kudozovic

    Mansaram/McTiernan

i won the FAI cup in my first season, was so very close to qualifying to the UEFA Cup Groupstages before being knocked with a last minute away goal against Steua! Leagu Cup and third place finish second season, as well as securing a 1 million£ transfer budget along with an incoming .5 million for Gary Curraqn (being sold to Wigan)i felt it was time to head for pastures a new and applied for the Wolves job (16th in the championship). With 22 games left in the league im 10 points behind a playoff place and have won my first two games...plan to get them up this season...;)
