Was ringing around getting prices on sunflower seed to put out in a seed feeder and the best I got was €35 for 25KG (ashbourne area) anyone do any better in the Dublin area.

Also anyone come across any good places with a good selection of bird stuff, tables, feeders, food etc. I know its a bad time of year but I was looking to replace a table and the best I could do on this Gardman one was €30 in Atlantic. The sameone in the UK is only about €16-18 but of course shipping is the killer. They use to do a hanging version of this one, exactly the same table except no post. Which works out fine as the post is to small anyway.

One last thing came across a site "http://www.livefoodsdirect.co.uk/" which seems to work out very cheap for Mealworms as there is no delivery charge. I got 500g for €13.50 which is for live ones where as Atlantic were doing the frezze dried ones for €10 for a 100g.

Some garden centres have good selections of tables, and some sell bulk feed. I got a sack of nuts (don't recall the weight, sorry) for around EUR 40 in a garden centre near Leixlip.

I would also recommend keeping an eye on the Birdwatch Ireland shop, but according to the web they don't have tables or feed in stock at the moment. Maybe worth giving them a call to double-check - maybe they sell stock that is not listed on the web.
