PRS Custom 24 - Where to Buy

Right, having played many many PRS's in the states last summer I've realised that the Custom 24 is the pinicle of human achievement :) Suffice it to say the moneys have been collecting since, and now I'm looking to buy. Course now the problem is where to buy. Here are my current thoughts

    - Buy off chrisguitars.com (thanks whoever first mentioned that site!) But his range of 24's isnt fantastic atm, and I'd rather play the actual 24 I'm buying first

    - Buy off thomann.de. Would either order it online or go to germany for a weekend.

    - Go to England and see what I can find. Having looked into this ive found a shop in birmingham with a nice range of PRS's (they even have one of the new twin necked dragons). Tried then finding guitar shops in London its easier for me to get there, but couldnt many shops online at all - anyone know anything bout london guitar shops?

Will be hopefully picking it up by early June, so if anyone has any advise on the above or other suggestions that'd be great. Note, even though I'd like to play it first, its prolly safe to say that I PROBABLY wont end up with a dud, being a PRS and all.

As one final note I'm still yet to decide the neck profile (regular or wide thin). Was in dublin AGES ago and remember that there is a shop in dublin with a few (there up high on the right when ya go in). Will be up again next weekend so does anyone know what models this shop currently have? Oh, and the name of it....and where it is? :)

    Thanks in advance

Go to Denmark street, Its where all the guitar shops are. Not hard to find. Went there a few times

Musicmaker is the shop, Exchequer Street, try not to laugh when they tell you the prices they want.

TBH it wouldn't bother me about playing the exact guitar I buy or not. Play one Custom24 with a wide-thin neck and every other similar model will feel pretty much the same. If you like the feel of PRS, then you're pretty safe buying from abroad. Even if, by some miracle, you don't like it, if you buy second hand from the likes of chrisguitars you'll probably make a profit if you sell it on here.

I must say, the Custom22 he just put up is rather nice.

Be aware that 5 of the shops in Denmark St are owned by the same company.
Prices are IMHO far from internet cheap either but they are open to negotiation.
That's the bad news, the good news is that it's total guitar fancier's heaven :D

try www.coda-music.co.uk .Bought a 2nd hand rectifier off them last year. postage is pretty quick. had it in 3 days. I wouldn't worry too much about playing a prs before buying the standard is generally excellent.

    also try emailing http://www.30thstreetguitars.com
i dont know if they will ship guitas. I bought a mccarthy off them a few years ago when i was in new york. its an excellent shop.
