i'm 24 and living in cork. i'm hoping to join a band as opposed to starting a one. originals a must. influenced by mars volta, perfect circle, stone temple pilots etc. but will turn my hand to anything

Well, I've never heard of any of your influences, I'm not in a band, and I don't (really) do originals, so I'm everything you're not looking for! But I am in Cork, and there seems to be rather few of us on the forums here...

I play guitar, lead and rhythm, acoustic and electric, and sing a bit too... mostly blues, rock, and a bit of folky singer/songwriter stuff... Influences would be Clapton, JJ Cale, Peter Green, Rory Gallagher, Josh Ritter, Jeff Lang...

So probably not what you're looking for at all, but if you're up for a Jam, give us a shout.
