I've had this problem before ,but i can't remember how i fixed it.

I can't get dvd's to play ,they just stopped playing .

I've got powerdvd installed ,divX ,latest windows media and realplayer.

Any reply would shed some light thanks.

Are you expecting them to play automatically? Is auto run enabled on the drive, and are you sure the program is associated with DVDs?

Right click on your DVD drive, and go into Properties. Go into the Autoplay tab and change the selection box to DVD Movies. Now select what you want it to do.

I've tried almost everything i can think of ,changed the detonator drivers ,deleted the powerdvd installation and removed it from the registry.

None of the programs on my puter will play DVD files.

I thought someone might know of an installation that might mess it up, like putting aspi files on my machine or something ????

Will it play other types of media, or is it just the DVDs it wont play?

yeah i tried various files with realplayer and Divx and they run at the same time.

Overlay can sometime give this problem ,so i guess that puts overlay out of the question.
