thought this would best fit this forum.

just bought myself a new hd tv and have the dvi out of my gfx card into the dvi input of my hdtv, i have it set to clone so my tv is mirroring my monitor. but when i open up WMP and start to play a video it starts to play on my monitor, but the screen stays black on my tv. it is the same with divx player.

however, if i open up i tunes and play a video in i tunes it will show up! but i tunes wont accept the avi files i want to watch.

i am running win xp sp2

its something to do with your video overlay settings, check inside your gfx card settings for this.
