Wow, got this last week and simply can't stop playing it, got my brain age to 22 years, not too shabby if I do say so myself.
Its superb, testing just how sharp your noggin is, plenty to test your mettle against and Suduko thrown in for good measure.
And with the machines going for €100 in Gamestop 2nd hand there is no excuse for everyone not to get one, can't wait for the Opera web browser to be released, the future is Ninty!

I honestly can't believe how much I am playing my DS this weather, it's as of they are finally releasing a steady stream of excellent software, stuff that stands up to any games on any fornat anywhere else.
Currently bet into Metroid Prime Hunters, Animal Crossing and Trauma Center, fantastic stuff.
Even the PS2 and 360 is taking a back seat to this stuff.
Metroid is sensational, getting that much gameplay and atmosphere into a little machine, with some of the best FPS controls outside a PC, Animal Crossing is so compelling, even if you can't pin down exactly why you have to have that carpet or worry about Fridays turnip prices and Trauma center is just so cool, I mena probably the best use of the touch screen yet, brilliant.

Anyone else getting this much enjoyment from the machine, anyone out there completely broken hearted and disappointed by it?

Reckon it spells great things afoot for the Wii or not?

didn't think much of Metroid tbh
in fact, all it made me want to do is play through MP2 and then MP1 again.

there's definitely some cracking games out there though. the future is definitely looking rosy for Ninty imo

Brilliant "game" (is it really a game?). Everyone should own this.

Its fun to start off with, but gets boring after a few weeks...... (imo)
Its fun to watch new people try it, though...

the lure of sudoku will keep me coming back

Got my DS second hand and I could not be happier with it.(Well I could be if I could afford Metroid Prime:( )

Anyway I love it and Mario Kart through WiFi is,imo, sheer brilliance.
Looking forward to the web bowser:p and am thinking of an upgrade to a DS lite.

Oh and the joy I have with this is really influencing me to get the Wii on launch.

Animal Crossong is starting to feel like actuall work, picking pears and coconuts every couple of days, but its so compelling, although I do miss the errands the animals used to give you in the GC version.
Metroid os fantastic if and when I can get my mate off the machine while he plays Tiger Woods, again!
Have WarioWare in the GBA slot for the rare moments I get bored of the DS stuff and thinking of getting a rumble pak for the thing, will it be coming free with Metriod Pinball or is that only in the NTSC countries?

Metroid Pinball is already out in Europe, and yes - it has the rumblepack.
(The first batch did, anyway - I assume there will be something on the box to say that its included)

Must dig deep so, make a great game even better, although I think I am nearly finished the bugger, anyone know what difference it makes to the gameplay, is the effect good?

Yay, my brain age has been 20 for three days straight (after starting out at 50 - oy)! I got the game 8 days ago and haven't missed a day's session.

My favourite training game is low to high. NYOM :)
Though my proudest achievement is the word remember game (can't remember the name) where I consistently remember 27 or the 30 words :]

And sudoku is actually fun! I tried a flash version of it a few months back and thought meh. But for some reason when Nintendo tells me to play sudoku, you're darn tootin' I will! Nothing at all to do with my fanboyism... Honest.

edit: I can see the game getting pretty boring after a few weeks, but right now I'm playing it by the book (performing each training and the brain age check once a day, and a round or two of sudoku later in the evening), and it's got me pretty captivated. Given that it's only $20, I'll call that worth it! I get to take it to someone with another DS today, so I can try out the multiplayer goodness.

Sudoku has become my browsing companion. Sit down at the computer, open my ds and attempt a puzzle while I browse. It's addictive but I agree that it's longevity is probably limited. Still, something different for a change

Yeah im playing Nintendogs alot now. I hate the way you have to feed and walk your dogs at least once a day. It feels like a real chore after a month now. I wish i could take a break from it and throw all my dogs into the hotel for a couple of weeks. I just got Tony Hawk Skateland and i want to spend my limited time playing that. It is brilliant for anyone whos interested. I used to own THPS 2 for the PS. This game is just as good. In fact its probably better than that which is class for a handheld console. Theres a much bigger range of tricks you can do here, plus the single player mode seems longer.

I just wanted a proximity mine throwing contest where I throw the device, the hound chases it and just as he gets it, BOOM!, sorry that game really really got on my wick, what ever about calling colours or numbers into your DS in public, you just can't keep friends and shout commands like SIT and ROLL OVER into your DS, can't be done.
