I have a stream of information (GPS Corrections) coming into a serial port. I want to make this stream of data available to someone over the internet, through direct ip. Ie, i'd like to give them an IP and username/password to let them recieve the data.

I'm googling already but i thought id stick it up here, maybe someone can help me.

    Thanks

What about setting up a webserver on your computer, outputting the information to the webpage and getting the other person to connect to your computer through port 80?

Java is quite nice for this sort of thing

The recieving end will be a GPS unit, connecting over GPRS. The software only allows you to give an IP/PORT username and password.

The way im doing it at the moment is through Ntrip software, it collects the data directly from the serial port and sends it to a caster in germany, they broadcast it there to an ip with a username and password. That works but because of the jump to germany its a bit slower than it could be.
