Paypal and 3v?

i was wondering if its possible to use a 3v card for paypal? i set up my paypal account today, and selected to add my credit card later, as the 3v card number changes with each top-up. so once i enter the card number on the paypal account, can i then remove it, and add a new one when needed?

cause it probably looks a bit suspiciuos to add a new card, use it, then delete it.

That sounds like a major pain in the ass to have to add a new card all the time but do-able. I don't think you'd be able to become a verified member that way though. Some sellers won't accept PayPal payments from unverified members. To become verified you get PayPal to charge your card €1.50 I think it is then you look on your statement for a special code they include with the charge. You go back to PayPal and enter that code to become verified and PayPal credits your account for the charge.

ok, so i started the process of using my 3v card for paypal, and it was going fine (even managed to verify my account with the 1.50 charge), but now i'm trying to send money to another account.

i try send the money to him, and it says "This payment cannot be funded with a credit card at this time. Please try again.". I think this is cause my balance on the paypal main page is 0.

So then i try the "Add Funds" and it says
"PayPal does not currently offer the ability to add funds from your bank account. You may, however, use other funding sources to make a PayPal payment, including credit cards and your PayPal account balance."

so, anyone know what the hell is wrong with this?

ok, so i sent an email to paypal, asking them what the hell was wrong, and i got this reply...

I apologise for the inconvenience, Mr. Molloy, but as per records,
the transaction is being denied by our Internail Security Program.
Unfortunately, there is no way of turning it off. At the moment,
Irish accounts also cannot add funds to their PayPal Accounts because
when you add funds, money has to come directly from a bank account and
not a credit or debit card. Please refer to the information below for
further information regarding the Security Model.

so basically, 3V cards dont seem to work on paypal anymore...

They do work fine but don't click "Add Funds" instead just click 'send money' or 'pay for an auction' first then choose the credit card as a means of payment which will be your 3V card. Customer support at paypal is a joke. Almost as bad as Meteor
