Jailbait is an attractive young woman under the legal age of consent, who is forthcoming to an older man. Thus she is "baiting" him into statutory rape. The "trap" is that the man can be blackmailed with this for trying to sever relations with the girl.

Haha. I was holding out (in vain by the looks of it!) for someone else to have the same definition of it as mine!

Ok, here goes. I thought it was a term that just meant if some one was a bad 'un at a young age and likely to end up in jail. Therefore jailbait. Obviously not though!

No, didn't make it up myself. It's just a definition I'd always used and have heard used loads of times.

Definition 4(2) agrees with what I thought it was. Even asked one of the lads in work today what he thought the definition of it was and he said the same as me.
