also are there any opinions on the wireless mouse offered by aldi?

blank DVD: the usual places (Do a search...) = mediawrite.ie, justmedia.ie and svp.co.uk (Quite often they're cheaper on the discs, but the p&p and postage delay are cons)

blinfwrite.ie is good. As for postage, its usually a flat fee of €5 Not good if you buy little, but good if you're buying a 100 or so (I use/go-thru the CD-R's like floppies, tbh).

Have you not left it a bit late for Aldi?

There's a good chance all the specials are well sold out by now.

See this previous thread (among about 9 million others...) for blank DVD prices. ;)

was in tommys wonderland today, & saw they have double pack DVD - R & DVD + R for €1. They're Mitsubishi. I know you can get multipacks @ better prices, but when you're just looking for one or 2 disks, I think this is a pretty sweet deal. Have used all 4 formats of this particular brand & they were all fine.

digital media direct in tallaght, very cheap, and they are reasonable with the prices, the more ya buy the more they will look after ya,they have alot of components too, hard drives, ram ,mice, etc, but great selection of blank media, various brands too, they supply alot of stalls that are at the markets,so buying of them is cheaper again, they dont have online sales tho, just over the counter sales

Why or why does everybody rave about mediawrite
Yes they are cheaper for postage but the prices of the discs
(when they have them in stock) are way higher then svp.co.uk or ukdvd.co.uk.

Just had a look and for example
    DVD-RW Tuffdisc 1X
    SVP 2.63 GBP (EURO 3.87) PER 10
    UKDVD 3.29 GBP (EURO 4.83) PER 10
    Mediawrite 6.95 Euro per 10

    Include postage and it's
SVP 57.54 EURO for 10 packs of 10 discs
UKDVD 62.19 EURO for 10 packs of 10 discs
Mediawrite 76.40 EURO for 10 packs of 10 discs

Delivery from UK 2 maybe 3 days.
    Nuf said.

Generally people rave about mediawrite because their prices match or better most of the competition, I imagine most people buy spindles of 25/50/100 rather than 10 packs of 10. I bought a 100 tub of printable DVD+Rs from them, 42 quid all in, and I got them literally the next day.

SVP charge 48 quid for the exact same item and you're unlikely to get it next day. What annoys me about SVP etc is that they initially seem really cheap but then shipping is almost the same price as the discs! For bulk ok, but for a single spindle, not really worth it.

Just went back into mediawrite and noticed those prices
    didn't include VAT

    So that makes them

    DVD-RW Tuffdisc 1X
    SVP 2.63 GBP (EURO 3.87) PER 10
    UKDVD 3.29 GBP (EURO 4.83) PER 10
    Mediawrite 8.41 Euro per 10

    Include postage and it's
SVP 57.54 EURO for 10 packs of 10 discs
UKDVD 62.19 EURO for 10 packs of 10 discs
Mediawrite 90.55 EURO for 10 packs of 10 discs

There's no way you can stand behind those prices

Had a look at the DVD-r and just picked one lot

    Rivision 8X DVD-R in 100 spindle
SVP 12.49 GBP including VAT (EURO 18.37)
    Mediawrite 29.87 Euro

    Including postage for one item
    SVP 25.30 GBP (Euro 37.20)
    Mediawrite EURO 36.32

Not that much cheaper and that's only for one
For 2 packs of 100, it would be
    SVP Euro 55.57
    Mediawrite 66.19
    and so on.....

Mediawrite would be cheaper (just) if you were only buying one,
anything else SVP would be cheaper.
