Check out these "Edwards" guitars, seemingly Japan only.

    http://www.espguitars.co.jp/edwards/

The first one on the through neck ones is GAS city central and less than a J custom :D

Don't think so. It must be ESP's domestic brand. Thank **** the internet allows connosuirs like us to lay our sweaty hands on the stuff they tried to keep from us :p

"Hyper Wepon" ? The name alone is reason enough to buy ;)

However, the ones on the page Doc J linked to are neck through... No pesky heels, only gorgeous Japanese curves.

Now i'd definitely have one of these Edwards...id wager theyre pretty much as good as the Gibsons theyre churning out these days, at half the price. Nice

Yup, 35" scale, handmade, superb wood, bartolini 3 band preamp and about a grand after shipping and taxes if you find one second hand.

GAS. Like crazy Mexican bean GAS.

Is there a price for the second one Doc?

Also voodoo_child, do you have a link to that guitar for Yen116,000? Makes this link seem like daylight robbery.

At just under a grand for the one bass remaining, I think I'll pass. My new Ibanez should be more than enough bass for me to get to grips with.......... for now.

Shipping usually wouldnt be more than E150 from japan, by EMS. Duty & tax works out as about 25% of the total (guitar + shipping). Japanese shops often show two prices, as they dont charge VAT on exports.

Dear Lord Doc! There was a need for a cold towelling when I saw that bass! You bad, bad man you!

Woke up to a nice reply from rakuten this morning:
It becomes the reply which used translation software.

    Thank you for an Inquiry.
We have not accepted the order from overseas. Moreover, cannot be sent to overseas.
I am sorry to have not been unable to reply to expectation.

    Thank you.
Looks like I might have to line up a nice holiday.:p

Its quite possible that they wont export that particular line of guitars. However, the ordering system isnt half as friendly as ishi, so it may just be down to that. I have a few links of pages with pointers for international orders if you want them.
