Just wondering if anyone knows about who runs the website

    www.radiowaves.fm

Is it a joint effort by local stations and RTE?

I don't think radio stations are involved in its maintenance; it seems to be just run by enthusiast(s); the Whois brings up the name John Fleming, and a quick google provides nothing obvious between that name and Irish radio (other than radio waves).

Phantom FM did link with them for the Anorak Hour a few years back (as the link in their menu indicates), but other than that the only input from radio stations seems to be in the Job Spot section.

Yeah, good work Flogen, it is indeed a Mr. John Fleming behind the site - and there is no official input from stations/RTE - the logos on the mainpage simply reflect the various radio schedules displayed.

Totally independent. Good site - though the forum mods are a little overzealous (I remember they once deleted a link to a very pertinent reply on the boards.ie radio forum three times without explanation - understandable if it was spam, but it answered what was a very specific question).

You will find numerous people from various radio stations using the forum though. I used to send regular bandscans to the site from Limerick as well as newspaper articles and reports, I don't visit the site as often as I used to though.

Still a good site for info, its a regular port of call for me, check out the forums there too... albeit as NoelRock pointed out, they don't seem to like competition.... I've linked to a few threads on ICDG here on boards, and they were removed.
