ferdi, thats the best option i could see. Aerlingus is away too expensive to Amsterdam. Suppose these is no Dutch Airline comeing in & out of Ireland & one could get real real cheap....

Aer Lingus are the only airline that fly direct from Dublin to Amsterdam. Ryanair to Eindhoven is the alternative

Not nessecarily. Aer Lingus, in their defence, offer some good fares to Amsterdam. It's a popular route and they sell out quick though.

A few years back I flew BMI via Heathrow to the Damage - was a good bit cheaper than flying direct. Not sure if that's still the case, but might be worth checking out.

Obviously it's a pain hopping off and back on in Heathrow but if it makes a big cost difference it might be worth it.

ferdi whats the train fare from eindhoven like? went into Charlois once, but the hassle and the cost kind of justified the extra expense of flying direct.

I've checked that option out a few times myself, and while the flights are sometimes cheap enough, the double taxes/charges adds a huge amount on. It's a real shame.

I don't know where you are located but have you thought of Easyjet from Belfast?

I live in the mid west, I always go Shannon-London Gatwick/Stanstead-Amsterdam, usually works out around €120/€130 return, way cheaper than aer fungus

16.70euro on the train from eindhoven, takes about an hour and half and you see some dutch countryside. charlois is the bane of my life.
