Ok I'd like to upgrade to a 19" monitor, Id just like to know is it worth going for a DVI model over a VGA model, IE is a Ultrasharp worth the extra cash ??

Also is a LG monitor a good choice?
Im kinda consideing but 2 x 19" and spanning my desktop :)

Samsung 19" LCD Syncmaster 930BF TCO-99 Monitor, €296 from Komplett

is there a cheaper place to buy a monitor?

Thats the one i'd recommend. You could try overclockers uk (€30 delivery), they sometimes have it on special. Also dabs/overclock/elara, the usual suspects really.

I'd probably go with a 20" and a 17", as the 20" allows you to use 1600*1200, while a 19" is limited to the same as a 17". Although, after saying that, the newer 19" are getting nearly as cheap as 17" monitors now :)

    I'd go for the 19" LG 940BF.

I bought the 19" 939BF l6 months ago and its a wonderful monitor.

Also go for DVI chances are you will have Monitor alot longer than computer DVI is the future

Aldi today have a Medion 19" monitor. Specs look pretty good, DVI and VGA, 8ms response and price is €280. My uncle has one of these and it is a good monitor, but he's not into gaming or anything so I don't know how it would hold up to that.

Also make sure you can adjust the angle of the monitor!

Depending on your desk height and such its invaluable.
