.....and the improvement is great. My old tyres were in rag order, one of 'em was made in 1994! Went to Blakestown Motorcycle Tyres. Great service from Iggy and Pete. Iggy charged me €150 fitted for the pair (not a sports bike or anything!) and I checked online for the exact same continental city tyres and they couldn't be got from the UK for less than that price just delivered. Iggy even threw in a free tube when mine started leaking air. They took it all apart again and remedied it with a smile. I really can't recommend these guys highly enough.

A couple of lads I got talking to had travelled quite a distance to get their tyres done there so his name is spreading.

Thanks for the tip. I always wondered about a good place for bike tyres. I think i'll get another few thousand miles out of mine hopefully!

Do the nude chicks do all the work?!

Ooooh Nudey chicks with rubber :D

    A bikers wet dream.

I could do with some proper tyres myself. The 60's reproduction tyres my bike cames with are horrific on our roads.

I believe his best prices are on Continental tyres. Conti-attacks being the main ones. Seemed to be doing a good trade in them while I was there.

I got my brakes and tyres done at the same time once - was like doing ice skating all the way home.

No but given the bike's limitations I think it's self enforcing :D

The brakes needed adjustment to get it to how I like it when I got hope. Had to bleed the front to get it sorted for some reason.

Is that for the W650 or the new one?

If it is for the W650, and they 19" wheels, then I have a recomendation:

I replaced the stock Avon "SpeedMaster" on my Enfield with the Avon "SuperVenom" (AM19 I think the code is) and they are fantastic...
They can be ordered in by most places.

No, the W650. The Suzuki is back in the garage (see the thread over in Consumer Issue's).

Thanks for the advice on the Avon's. I've had my eye on the Supervenoms for a while now. Might just give them a try. ;)
