Think it has a great chance. The favourite is 13/8 no value at all in a maiden. 12/1 is nice price after good debut run.

4 bets for me today, they are:

1:50 Chester - Slidan

The top two in the betting are the ones to concentrate on with preference for Slidan for several reasons. First of all we have seen front runners do particularly well at Chester this week, therefore coming from stall 1 will be perfect for Slidans front running style. Secondly his last outing resulted in a narrow defeat to Mulaqat, Mulaqat has more than enchanced the form by winning a Listed race at Newmarket last weekend.

2:00 Nottingham - Mina

Mina has proved difficult to win with but has been fairly consistent all the same. Judging from Nottinghams last meeting it looks crucial to be drawn low. Mina is definitely one of the more consistent animals in this race and will go on the ground and has decent form over 6 furlongs. The other interesting contender is Hammer of The Gods, I slightly prefer Mina because of a formline involving Mambazo who finished ahead of Hammer of The Gods at Wolverhampton but was well beaten by Mina in a 2nd place finish as folkestone.

4:20 Lingfield - Peopleton Brook

It's hard to look past Peopleton Brook here, won impressively last weekend and can defy a penalty today. The phrase ticks in all the right boxes comes to mind with this one. Has been a model of consistency over the last 2 seasons and will take a lot of beating today. The danger is Intriging Glimpse.

3:20 Chester - Roman Maze

If this race were on a straight course the pick would definitely have been Dabbers Ridge who has done nothing but improve, however been drawn 10 of 10 at Chester leaves him with a mountain to climb, therefore I will opt for the Kieran Fallon ridden Roman Maze. Nicely drawn in stall 2 already a course and distance winner who will most likely sit just off the pace and strike close home. Roman Maze has ran well in better races than this off a higher handicap mark.

1.50 Easy Air

2.20 City of Troy

2.50 Mubtaker

3.20 Roman Maze

like the last two big time as form would indicate then. Roman Maze second in Ayr sliver cup and Mubtaker having some of his rivals behind last time and richard hills goes well on the course

A very bad day for punters so far with all sorts of short priced favourites being turned over.

I've just noticed the Chester ground has been changed from Good to Firm from Good to Soft, I made my bets thinking it was still G/F. The ground will impact on Roman Mazes chances.

legend saw it at 8s on powers earlier but got 17s on betfair was getting worried and was going to lay it off as he went out to over 24-1. Great tipping keep it up might try a few quid on the other tip anns present in wexford

did anyone see at the money win today, nottingham 3.35...i was advised to put him in the horse tracker by someone off here (cant remember) about two weeks ago...didnt check my emails/race cards/results til this evening and what ya know it wins at 7/2...typical, i wouldnt mind but i only have two horses in the tracker as ive only recently started using it!!!:eek:

WELCOME TO THE FORM SIZZLER!! ? I backed it last nite at just 7 t 1 on betfair, when i wok up i saw it was 18 to 1 and layed it off, then i saw sense and managed to get a bookies, cheers man!! Hail the chief at Newmarket...and then back all the other favs to lose at Newmarket this afternoon. I didnt make it onto betfair in time for the first two races but they were easy lays !
