This looks too good to be true

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=48737&TabID=1&source=1&doy=10m5

The blurb suggests it can get
    ASTRA
    Hotbird
    Sirius
    Hispasat
    Hellasat

Maybe at the centre of the footprints of each satellite one could but I find it hard to believe that it would get anything but Astra 2 in the UK or Ireland and even that would be a struggle anywhere too far North (or West)

But maybe someone can prove me wrong ?

That looks similar to the system that Lidl had some time ago.

Personally, I doubt very much that it's much good for anything other than Astra2/Eurobird. I'd say even then, signals wouldn't be very high.

Handy for camping etc, which is the way it was designed for

OK for south of england for Sky.
It works here till it rains. Which is just when you want it :)

    Center of each footprint!

    Forget Sirius utterly!
