Im heading to Turkey on Sunday! I was there when I was younger with my parents and remember everything was really cheap!! I've heard these days things there aren't that cheap anymore :( I've tried google to see if I could find a site that would give a rough price for food, drink etc.
Does anyone know of any sites I could find this information?? Or if anyone who has been there can give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated!! :D
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi OP
I would agree completely with carpenter, on all he has said about Turkey.
Was there last year and loved it. Like himself I too have recently bought an apartment out there.

    Hey Carpenter

Have you been out to your place yet, I have been keeping an eye on the pictures to see whats happening.
Maybe send me a PM on the LG site if you have any new info.

    Thanks

    Chef

I have a place in turkey and I go there at least 3 times a year. Costs are definitely rising tho not as much as here. I definitely saw a distinct rise in costs between april 05 and my last trip which was last month.
Haggle for prices as there are two different prices on show. One for the turks and the other for tourists. Jewellry is still quite inexpensive but the best piece of advice I can give you is haggle for all except food and drinks. They expect this and its part of they're culture.
If your going to kusadasi, the waterfront is the most expensive area. Great spot and full of tourists but the beer could be cheaper two doors down from another place so keep an eye out for prices. Remember, haggle!
    Have a great time.

Got burnt alive, had a good time. Go on a booze cruise, they're great. It's (Turkey) not VERY cheap but it's cheaper than home, food and drink - wise. You can buy some very cheap rip off labels like Nike, Adidas.. all the way up the scale to Gucci and they're damned convincing but they wont last that long.

I'm not sure if I agree with the food being "tops", but then again I didn't stray too far from the kind of stuff I eat at home so maybe the traditional Turkish food is nice.

Girlfriend went for a Turkish Bath and was raving about it for weeks so you should do that. That's it, wear loads of sun cream.... Wow it's hot.
