    Hey all,

Has anyone done the two upgrade exams from MS 2000 to 2003?

If so how did you find them?

and what did you use to study for the exams?

    Thanks,

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone too - I just bought myself the Sybex book to start studying for the exams..
I hear that its supposed to be fairly tough with a lot of people needing to repeat, but whether there's any truth in that I don't know.
I think perhaps the exams presume a lot of knowledge that people would have previously studied ages ago in the W2k track, and that this isn't repeated in the new books?

How are you finding the Sybex books krankykitty ?

I still haven't purchased any books yet mostly just been using the net so far but I was thinking of going with MS press books.

I haven't actually heard much about the actual exam yet. No one I know has gone the 2003 route unfortunaltly

Haven't started studying yet, though the book is following me from room to room in an attempt to shame me into starting!
Having a flick through it, looks quite good, seems to be good practice labs to do, and also the CD you get with the book contains the ebook, some practice questions and also simulator type questions which MS have added to the exams.
I went for the Sybex this time because I just hated the MS Press books when doing the Win2k exams, I didn't think they wrote the books with the exams in mind, and found the style to be a bit boring..

I read up on the exam's this weekend.

Supposedly the 292 is easy enough but the 296 is a mofo.

No Sims in the 292 although they do break up the exam itself into two seperate exams which you sit at the same time (sounds strange) one is 24 Qs the other 26..

Going to get some books this weekend, hopefully start next monday

Cant edit my last posts for some reason..

    Anyway also worth looking at...

The guy who wrote the first two guides seems to have written the MS Press book for upgrading to 2003 so I presume he know's his stuff.

Trainwreck is right, looks like that exam is even harder than the dreaded 70-216 of the W2k..
Thanks for the links, study guides look useful.
Looking at a review of the MS press book on Amazon, seems to have got good reviews so hopefully they have improved.
Let us know how youre getting on! :)
