No More Spawn On Squad Leader?

The latest community update regarding the release of V1.3 seems to say that the ability to spawn on your squad leader is getting axed. This is in response to some abuse of the functionality which I'm not sure I quite understand... perhaps someone can explain that to me?

Either way - it looks like V1.3 will make following your squad around a lot tougher.

In the upcoming 1.3 patch the ability to change to and spawn on a another squadleader while dead has been removed. You can still spawn on the squadleader if you were in the squad when you got killed.

Until now this has been used as a way of "beaming" people to where the action is. You join a squad, spawns on that squadleader and then jump out of that squad.

omg why are tehy continuing to ruin the game i am finally getttin used to the crap they did in the other patches and now more crap!

i used to this all the time but in one squad, we'd go around in 2's or 3's and when any of us died we'd leave teh squad and join again and someon else would be squad leader and you could get back into action with your mates

now they have ruined it again

someone please point me in teh direction of Mr.EA and Mrs.DICE so i can rip there bleeding faces off:D

seriously i am sick to death of patches this has to be a record for the most unfinished game ever released

they release a perfectly good game, get everyone likeing it, then they make it crap so you buy another game that u think is good and they'll make that crap too

Like it or not it's still exploiting the game in a way that wasn't meant. As long as your SL stays alive then it doesn't affect you and you can still change squads while alive.

??? It's only been about 5 patches. That's below average in my gaming experience.

Nope. You're probably all alone on the planet thinking this. The game needed to be patched several times and may even get a future one after 1.3 if it's needed.

Do you realise just how hard it is to get into beta testing , and here is EA letting you in and all you do is rant

Maybe we should contact our union , shouldn't we be paid the going rate for this work ?

I think this will improve the game, rather than having a full 32 random people running about the map and then one saying spawn on me, youll actually have to work as more of a team. YAY! Die you stat whores die!

Good idea, that squad leader swapping thing is great is you're doing it, but really annoying if its against you, sharqui telly tower is the perfect example. As pon said it is an exploit.

Yeah. I've used it loads of times and will miss it at time I guess, but yeah, once you had a coupld of squad leaders in the TV station you could never get it back as people switched squads to respawn back in the same place all the time.
