Potentially upgrading

I'm thinking of upgrading my PC to something a little more powerful. I currently have an Athlon 2200+ with 1gig RAM and a All in Wonder 9700.

I was looking on Ebay and saw a German shop was selling upgrade kits for about 200 euros that includes an Athlon 3000+, 512 ram and a 128MB FX6100.

Ram I can upgrade, but is that graphics card any good? I'm not into gaming that much and am not obsessed with having everything at the highest detail level when I do play. I've no idea if that card is better or worse than my old AIW 9700.

    Any opinions?

This is the ebay shop if anyone wants to have a look and recommend an upgrade. Thanks.

6100 = ten times slower than your 9700 pro.

It would tie you over for a while and let you play old games but nothing any way modern.

    you have two choices.

    1. get an amd 64 mobo that has an agp slot and reuse your 9700 pro

    2. get an amd pci express mobo and buy a new gfx card.

Would nearly say avoid the kit and just buy the parts you want yourself.

You are not really saving anything by getting the kit: just spending an extra 30 euro an a crap gfx card you don't really want.
