intermittent firefox problem

Every so often, at least once a day, Firefox suddenly cant seems to find my internet connection. I get a connection error and no matter how many times i click "try again" it never works. The only way i've found to get it working again is to restart firefox. This is really annoying cause i use it here at work and can have quite a few tabs opened. Has anyone else had this problem?

I get a freeze up every now and again, to the point where the only way i can close it properly is through taskmanager. Seems to be when its using around 30,000k memory.

FF was recently updated to version:1.5.0.3 (help-about)
Make sure you are running this.
The memory leak and connection difficulties may be caused by a problematic addin or theme-
Might be worth checking for theme/extension updates and if the problem still persists to uninstall all extensions to see if one of those is causing the problem...and revert to the default FF theme.
    (tools extensions/themes - find updates/uninstall)
Also, do you connect through a proxy server? This may be causing the disconnects also-does the same thing happen in Internet Explorer?
