That's a lot better than my first guitar. Well done. I have a Blackjack C7, Schecter make some nice stuff, they really do.

Now all I have to do is get an amp and a pedal.

Get yourself a Microcube and you won't need a pedal ;)

What exactly is a microcube and how much is it
Edit: Ya found 1 in thomann but I think it would be cheaper to by a zoom 505 pedal and a 10w amp.

Well, it would probably work out slightly more expensive and would sound infinitely worse than a Microcube. Take it from someone who started with a 10W Ibanez and a Zoom 505-II. Get the Microcube!

Obviously you know better than me but it doesnt look all that impressive and has only 6 effects .What is so good about them and do you know where the cheapest place is to get one.
    Thanks for your help

Looks can be deceiving ;) 6 effects are more than enough, especially if you're learning. They are surprisingly loud for the size of them, they can run on batteries if you want it to, the sounds are really damn good. There's nothing bad about the Microcube that I can think of. Most place in Dublin have them for about €120 for you're better off getting one in there, especially since you'll get an Irish adapter instead of a European one.

I know for a fact that one of the shops in Galway has them. It's where I got mine. No idea what the shop was called though.

They have the Microcube in Modern Music in the Cornstore.

I heartily recommend you get one aswell. They sound fantastic, and are worth every penny. You simply cannot get a better practice amp.

Cheers Karl Any idea how much.

Thought I saw one in..crap I can't remember the name either. Sure there is only two or three music shops anyway.
Good choice, the amp I got in Dublin is dire.
Although it does have the novelty of saying things like beef, enjoy, shut up etc for gain, volume, earp ones etc. Too bad it sounds crap.
    Always research these things...

    EDIT: Karl to the rescue.
    Cornstore ftw.

Of course it's unreal. It's exactly 63 times better than the Zoom pedal & 10W amp you were thinking of. There's qutie a lot of us here that have been playing for years, and we're using the microcube simply because it's an amazing little practice amp.

Infact, I like it so much, I was thinking of getting a second one and an A/B switch, so I'd set up a little 2 channel practice rig.

Welcome to the club buddy. I love my cube, it's the perfect practice amp. Sounds great at low volumes but is still loud enough if you need to turn it up a notch.

The guitar looks pretty nice too.
