    any advise for heads up?
i am terrible heads up.i dont know why but can anyone give advice.

    playing crap players?
whenever i am playing a small tourny with my mates they all have a habit of going all in and then buy back if the lose.i stay out of it and therefor someone wins a massive pot and then i am short stacked.very hard to come back from it.
can anyone give advise on how to beat players like this.

what are they going all in with?? any pair, any draw etc??

I find with my mates in home games, that TPTK or top two pair will win you vbig pots as they'lll call down to the river with any sort of draw, should give you a beter chip ratio for HU.

At heads up id just loosen up and start raising with any pair, if they're that crap just take a gamble that youre bottom pair is good enough:)

If you are going to bluff a crap player only do it on the river - this way they have no excuse to call on a draw.
Also I find crap players dont understand pot odds at all, but they understand being out of the game. I find they will call loads if they are left with only a few chips but will call few hands if they have been put all in, at the freeze out stage of the game.

Heads-up: watch your opponent for the whole game, never look at the flop when it comes out - look at your opponent. You'll find you have a feel for where they are at even if you aren't sure why you feel it (hopefully).

Edit: for the tournys try to get everyone to start with more chips in relation to the blinds.
