Broadband in Loughrea Area

    Hi

I'm moving to Ireland from the UK and am trying to get broadband but it appears the Loughrea area is pretty bad. Does anyone have any suggestions/experience of Satellite Broadband providers in Ireland that they could share.

I know its expensive and I've looked at SKYdsl but it still needs a dial up connection for sending mail which isn't ideal as I will be working in Ireland so will be sending lots of mail.

Any experience if digiweb or other providers?

commercial Wireless ISPs are thin on the ground in east Galway as is DSL coverage , I would recommend the hobbyist option which is called Irishwan or in this case Loughrealan

Its generally better than one way sat.

    Thanks Spong Bob

Unfortuanetely I'm not in Loughrea itself, I should have been more specific. I'm at Liss which is out towards Woodford from Loughrea so well out the area, but thanks anyway

    Any other suggestions?

Thats the Woodford road )orange) in the middle of the WAN map , it runs SE from Loughrea . Beyond that WAN you are on your own mate .
