Just a couple of quick questions,

Is it common to see a pheasant in reland? How many are there?

    Are there weasels in Ireland?

Pheasant are very common; a couple of thousand present.

We have no weasels in Ireland but we have the related Irish stoat which is a sub-species of the European stoat.

Ive seen a good few, mainly just off uncultivated land. Lets say that area between bogs and farmland? Ive often seen them fly out in front of the car as well. In fact, and this doesnt answer your question, we have one stuffed at home. They are a beautiful bird, especially around the head. It must be really difficult to fly with such a long tail.

Dont worry I dont hunt them nor does anybody else belonged to me. The stuffed bird has been with us for quite a while, a present from a neighbour.
