Does anyone know when and where this is opening in Rathfarnham? Last time I was out there in Jan or so, they said it was to open around end of March. They are now noting on their website that the new shop is almost ready to launch. I wonder if anyone has talked to them and knows when and where this will open? I was only told Rathfarnham.

He has a russian tortoise in with an iguana, go figure. It's a totally unsuitable housing arrangement, notwithstanding the fact that A) The vivarium is not the right kind of housing for a tortoise B) They are from totally different parts of the planet.
I know of somebody who put a baby tortoise in with a bearded dragon, and the dragon bit the head off the baby tort. (not related to Aquatic Village) but just an example of what happens when two unsuitable species are mixed.
Oh and btw lettuce and pellets are totally unsuitable food for tortoises too and in aquatic village that's what I saw them feeding the tortoises there, when I brought it to his attention I was shrugged off. They didn't hibernate the tortoises either, which is part of their natural life cycle.
    My 2 Cents

In fairness snakeleg, they do seem to know how to look after every other reptile, it just seems to have escaped their attention that tortoises are highly specialised. I had no complaints about the rest of their animals, and they do have some good deals going.

I have a huge complaint when they were selling a 3foot viv with all accessories & you got a free Nile Monitor!!!!!!!!!!! I mean this critter is gonna need at least a 9foot long viv - my bosc monitor is waiting for his 9foot viv to be built & hes only 3foot long the niles I saw were around 2foot long including the tail & there was NO reference to how large these animals get.
