    Folks,

I took these photos during an electrical storm while holidaying in France a few years ago. They are nothing spectacular as far as these things go, but I like them. I especially like the ghostly look of the surrounding countryside when illuminated by the lightning.

    Enjoy.

I would say its pretty hard to photo lightning.. for one thing it never hits the same spot.. well rarely... and its very fast so you have to try be faster :D

Well done. Wonder did anyone get anything from the cool storms over the last few days.. Thursday i was driving from westmeath to Dublin in the morning and lightning hit the field beside me... and Friday the storm had at least 40 lightning flashes that i counted.

Meant to ask that as well. We had the best lightning in a good while here in Athlone on Thursday afternoon. Was in work though so didn't get a chance to capture any of it.

Tried to take photos of one in oklahoma last year but had limited view so it was like clay pigeon shooting. was quite scary, it was around 2am, i stayed up because this storm ws coming in and apparently it was the first proper t-storm of that summer and all the storm warning sirens were going off all over the place.
didnt get any good photos unfortunately
