How can I delete a toolbar permanently? I have tried View>Toolbars and unticking the relevant one (in this case yahoo) but it reappears when I open another browser window.

I had this problem too, did you by any chance download either, Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 or Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0. I went to download Acrobat reader and both the Photoshop Album starter & Acrobat reader came down. The Yahoo toolbar was also included and wrecked my head as it seemed stuck to Internet Explorer.

Anyway to get rid of it do this. Assuming you are on Windows XP or lower.

Start > All Programs > Control Panel > Add & Remove Programs

You will then see the list of programs you have installed on your system. It is alphabetically listed so the Yahoo Toolbar will be near the bottom of the list. Highlight it and then you will get the option of change or remove. Choose remove and it will be gone. If it isn't restart the Computer and it should be then.

    Hope this helps :)
