Can't get sky digital or cable

I live in a 3rd floor apartment. Because of the way building is facing I have been told by Sky that they can't fit a dish as signal will not be picked up. NTL cannot supply aerial as they say they cannot pick up a signal. Cable is not available. Any ideas on where I can go from here?

Why can't they put a communal system dish on the roof? Maybe you spoke to wrong person in Sky?

Sorry to say... but there are no other options at present. I assume is MMDS that NTL were going to supply you with, and its odd there isnt a communal system for the appartments.

DTT (like the UK's Freeview) maybe your only hope, but we haven't seen a trial phase of that yet. :(

Can you get terrestrial TV (analouge or digital) from NI perhaps

Only other option is to negotiate roof access and get a dish (single or communal) up there
