i tried to download some poker site packages at the weekend in my local internet store but to no avail. the file saved and looked completely like it was ok, but i needed administrator rights to fully open it.

will they allow this in internet stores? if i ask the assistant will they help me, or hound me?

PS: i'll call it an interent CAFÉ when they start serving coffee's.

Only one way to find out!

They've probably restricted people from installing any programs to their PCs (a good thing). Depending on their policy they may or may not allow you to install your poker software.

The worse they can say is no. I doubt they'd kick you out or anything.

Yeah, you just need admin rights to be able to install programs like that. There are many internet stores(;)) that you can download and play poker in though so I'm sure it wont be a problem.
