    DOWNSHIRE RIFLE CLUB
    51ST OPEN SMALL-BORE RIFLE MEETING

    MOIRA ROAD, HILLSBOROUGH
    MAY 4TH, 5TH & 6TH, 2006

    TIMETABLE
    THURSDAY & FRIDAY 5.00 pm to dusk
    SATURDAY 10.00 am to 3.20 pm
    SATURDAY Championship 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm
    PRIZE DISTRIBUTION 5.45 pm


    A strict system of details will operate. Details will commence every hour and half-hour, there being 20 minutes to fire 20 shots plus sighters, and 10 minutes to change targets. Entries will be taken on the Range where competitors may, if they wish, reserve space in the remaining details. The onus is on the competitor to have all cards shot by 3.20 pm on Saturday. Bulldog clips for fixing targets will not be supplied - please note that competitors must provide their own. Please lift empties at the end of your detail, and place them in the containers provided.

    Competitors are requested to remove equipment from the firing point after shooting to allow others to use positions which they have reserved

    Range Committee - Any three members of Downshire Management Committee present on the Range

    Conditions of Entry and Notes

    Classification
    This will be by average published by NISSU. Competitors not included on the Classification List will be placed by the Range Committee.

    Membership
    Competitors MUST be members of N.S.R.A. and must produce current Membership Card at time of entry if requested.

    Competition Rules
    The Meeting will be conducted in accordance with NSRA Rules except where otherwise specifically noted to the contrary.

    Range Discipline
    Competitors are advised that strict range discipline will be enforced. Anyone failing to obey the instructions of the Range Officer will be disqualified. The Range Officer will not permit shots to be fired on targets not bearing a Competition Sticker. The use of breech flags will be greatly appreciated by the Range Officer in the interest of safety.

    Juniors Under 18 at May 4th, 2006 Half-price entry - Comps 1, 2 & 3 only
    Senior Citizens 65 and over at May 4th, 2006 Half-price entry - Comps 1, 2 & 3 only
    Bona Fide Students Under 21 at May 4th, 2006 Half-price entry - across the board.

    CATERING THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

    DOWNSHIRE RIFLE CLUB LIMITED CANNOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROPERTY LEFT OR STORED ON THE RANGE.

    YOU ARE ADVISED TO CARRY YOUR FIREARMS CERTIFICATE WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES

    3 THE AGGREGATE Total score of Comps 1 & 2 Snuggle entry £ 4.00

    4. THE DOUBLE TOP Total score of best card Comps 1 & 2 Single entry £ 3.00

    5 THE POLICE & ARMED FORCES CHAMPIONSHIP £ 3.00
    20 shots at 50 metres & 20 shots at 100 yards.
    Confined to any serving member of the Police & Armed Forces, regular or auxiliary.
    To be shot concurrent with Comps 1 & 2

    6 JUNIORS [under 18 years on 4th May 2006] £ 1.00
    40 shots [2 details] at 50 metres

    7 VETERANS [over 60 years on 4th May 2006] £ 2.00
    40 shots [2 details] at 50 metres
    To be shot concurrent with Comp 1

    8 THE SECRETARY'S TROPHY 20 shots at 50 metres & 20 shots at 100 yards £ 3.00
    Confined to Honorary Secretaries of Rifle Clubs and Associations duly elected and Serving as such on 4th May 2006.
    To be shot concurrent with Comps 1 & 2 if the Competitor is entered in these
    9 THE DOWNSHIRE HANDICAP Aggregate of Comps 1 & 2 plus handicap start
    Free
    Confined to members of Downshire Rifle Club

    10 CHAMPIONSHIP 60 shots at 50 metres £ 3.00
    Top 10 and equal 10th in Aggregate [present on the
    Range at 3.30 pm] to shoot squadded at 4.00 pm.
    Scoring under I.S.S.F. Rules.

    11 CLUB TEAMS Club teams of 3 per team £ 5.00
    To be shot concurrent with Comp 1 and Handicap
    Start, according to Class

    Individual prizes according to entry will be awarded for competitions in each class

    Perpetual Trophies will be awarded and presented for Aggregates and Restricted Competitions as shown

    Two of our guys in action this weekend, Richard in Blessington and Leslie in N.I. Leslie finished 6th overall and Richard came second in Class A. Well done to both of you and keep up the good work!
