Any good alternatives to MCE? Currently using PowerCinema, but don't like it. I have also tried Beyond TV but that also didn't live up to expectations.
If it handle's music too, that would be a bonus
I'd prefer something that it a lot more configurable than those two so I can tweak away when there's nothing on!

If yu want to go the linux route MythTv is meant to be very good. I will get around to playing with it myself after exams. Definitley configurable :)

    MythTV : Linux
    GB-PVR : Windoze
    Mediaportal : Windoze
    Freevo : Linux
Geexbox : Windoze / PPC Mac

If you want a centralised, networkable solution, MythTV is prettymuch the only way.

GB-PVR is quite good and stable, Mediaportal is fairly taxing on resources and buggy.
