Most Next Gen Game?

What do you lot reckon is the most "next generation" title that has come out for the 360 thus far?

It's still early days obviously and most games that have come out, even the great ones, have had one or two issues (loading times in Oblivion when riding across the countryside, bugs and the odd graphical glitch in GRAW, etc.)

Still, what's the most "next gen" you've played?

ah yeah, there will be a tonne :)

most likely Gears of War, Huxley, Call of Duty 3, Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway, and some Halo 3 videos if we're lucky, I sure do like shootin stuf! On the other hand moto gp looks very nice

i'm expecting a lot from microsoft at e3 2006. they have their console out now. all they have to do is show us the games. we've suffered through the PC ports and first-gen attempts, now it's time for the second generation of 360 games to dazzle and bemuse...

the only problem is it seems 360 is attracting too many shooters. or, more to the point, not enough of anything else. hopefully e3 will change that

I agree with that. I don't even like shooters normally although I have to say CoD and GRAW have both done their bit to convert me.

As for 'most next gen game', Fight Night was certainly the most jaw dropping on first look. PGR3 is probably the most next gen in terms of online integration, although the least in terms of everything else. The immersion of GRAW is very impressive, hard to single out anything, just lots of little things like the combination of superb graphics, draw distance and collision detection seem to make it as close to a battlefield as any game I've ever played. Oblivion is probably the best game on the console but I don't think it couldn't have been done on a less powerful system. Some of the outdoor vistas are amazing, as are some of the physics effects, but the core of the gameplay is the quests, dialogue and character development which are all the work of the dev team rather than the processor.

I'd say GRAW. It is stunning.

Oblivion would be the only game I would count as next gen on the xbox360. The sheer scale ambition and the fact that there was no way a previous console could pull it off makes it the most next gen game for me. Every other game could have been done on the current gen consoles only slightly less pretty.

Yes it is, I'm currently downloading the Test Drive Unlimited demo. 40 miles to drive around, Lamborghini available and one house.

Woooo I'm downloading it too looks cool, erm graphics wise PGR3 is pretty amazing, but FNR3 is cool too, erm I'm going for .............. none at the moment wait till 2nd generation I'd say. COD2 was brilliant but for graphics it wasn't that good.

Looks like I'll have to put my next-gen experiences on hold... my 360 just died!

I took perfect care it too, so you've been warned! Well vented, had it since pre-xmas. Not one single bad issue with it. Now all of a sudden games are crashing like there's no tomorrow. GRAW lasts about 30 seconds. Fight Night is dead in about 2 mins.

As they say in the ads for the English Lotto - IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU.

It has. Twice. I'm impatiently waiting for UPS to arrive with my third 360 tomorrow so I can look at all this new E3 content on marketplace.

    I feel your pain, steviec.

So did getting it replaced turn out to be tricky? I'm guessing that if ur now onto num 3 (!!!!!!) that ur first one died within the 90 day warranty? I got mine before xmas, so I'm a bit worried...

    F*CK OFF!

Personally I think Kameo is the best game to show off the 360's power. The sections were you go up against armies of 100's of trolls are amazing and couldn't be on any other console. I think ability to put a huge number of characters on screen is the 360's big next gen selling point, and it will be interesting to see how Dead Rising looks in the end.

Oblivion is terrible on the 360.. the jerky loading every few hundred yards is hugely annoying.

The warranty is longer than that isn't it? I don't know, its a fairly hassle free process. Spends more time in the hands of UPS than Microsoft. About a week from handing it off to getting it back. Although my current one broke about 3 weeks ago, I didn't bother calling Microsoft till last week because I had priorities in college.
