Daily Start tunes for RTE long ago

Back in the eighties , shortly after Radio 2 came on the air , and before 24 hour radio , each days programming started with two tunes at about 6:30 or so in the morning. They were Spanish/Mexican instrumentals . Does anyone remember these , and if so , Does anyone know what they were called , the tunes that is ?

I don't remember Radio 2 doing that, but Radio 1 had O'Donnell Abú played upto the 6:30am start, repeated every minute. They still play it (one bar of it), at 5:30am weekdays and 6am at weekends.
