Anyone recommend Sat. dish installer in or near Oranmore in Galway.
Moving to new house and need to install and align dish on chimney of
two storey house ( due to Direction house facing).
Dont have the ladders or the head for heights myself. !!!!
    Thanks

Due to Elevation of dish 22 degrees, moslty a 4 ft pole on angle bracket from wall over gutter (A standard bracket) will actually "see" the satellite from a North or North West pointing wall.

There is almost never a need to mount on the less accessible chimney. I have two houses behind me. The dishes appear to point into the roof!

See the link below to understand why you don't need it on chimney.

Also Chimney has poor access for service, more exposed, more visible, less mechanically secure than wall mount

Thanks Watty, I kind of understand the principle and I may be lucky in getting a signal from the back of the house. The Chimney is half way down
the roof, on the rear of the house ( Not typical chimney on apex of roof)
I thought it would be nice and hidden from both the front of house and also
almost invisible from the back as well.
Your advise appreciated and the link very helpful.

If you must put it on a chimney, I suggest using a cradle bracket and lashing.

Also, keep the dish as far away as possible from the chimney cap, as smoke will not be long helping the dish rot a bit faster.
