Compatible GFX card

    Is the nVidia GeForce5200 MCE compatible? Going trying to setup my Media Centre again... Had a really really old gfx in my computer atm and wont work with it?

    Yes the FX2000 is compatible.

    Edit: There is a registry tweak also that will over ride the check for a DX9 card in MCE 2005 from what I understand older cards will work, I recall seeing some talk about it on another forum I'd say Google would turn up something.

    yea, the 5200 is perfect for MCE, you can go even lower with the SIS 651.

    I have a 5200 in one of my rigs, overclocked and passive cooled runs sweet enough. Linux support for TV-Out is handy too

    Be sure to get the latest MCE drivers for the card. An older set of drivers (77.79) had an MCE-specific setup program for optimising your display. I pulled them out of the package for reference. Ive uploaded them here temporarily for your reference. Ill take it down in a couple of days.
