Its an Aussie film about a P.I. its maybe from the late 90's (1999 or 1998) and Im nearly 100% sure David Wenham is in it, in the film he is divorced and has a son, or maybe his wife died, not sure. In one scene he tries fixing his roof (its tin) and it all falls off. Also someone cuts the brakes in his car and he ends up in a river...

I know this is vague but thats all I can remember, I've tried IMDb but no luck, it might not be David Wenham!! lol
