Point gig - are side balconies near stage obstructed?

Am booking tickets for a show there, and was wondering if the seats on the balcony nearest the stage are obstructed in any way? They're cheaper than balcony seats facing the stage but far at the rear which struck me as odd, unless you can't see from them? Thanks, P.
