    Hi Folks
I live in Canada. I go onto the GAA website to try and fine the All Ireland tournament and can no tfigure out how it all works leading up to the finals in September.

Can someone give a quick rundown on the tournament and when teh elimination starts.

If I sound ignorant, it's because I am.

Provincial Games : Elimination starts from game one really.

Winners in each province progress to the provincial final.
Losers go into the Qualifer series. [format is linked to in wikipedia or on the gaa.ie site]

Each of the four teams defeated in the Provincial Finals shall play against the four winners from Round 3 of the Qualifiers. A draw shall be made to determine the four pairings.

Each of the four Provincial Champions shall play one of the four winners from Round 4 [see previous]. A draw shall be made to determine the four pairings. This is the Quarter Final stage.

    Semi-Final.

    Final.

Where abouts in Canada are you? I was in Montreal recently for work and found places that I know would be showing games etc.! So if you wanted you would not be so much out of the loop!

Sorry just saw you were in Clagary!

Thanks for the info. Where abouts are we in the competition now?

There is a pub in Calgary that does show the matches. The problem is that they are on at 9:00am on a Sunday. I'm teaching at church then. Setanta has allowed me in the past to watch the games later in the day on their setanta.tv site.

From this weekend on, things begin to get moving. It is in July an August though, that things really become interesting. It is all ahead of us now. Something to be really enjoyed. :)
