Suggest me a backup program

I really need help with choosing a backup program. The specs I need are:
    • Backs up only new data (or data that has changed since last backup)
    • Backs up to DVD (or creates DVD ISOs for me to burn)
    • Has capability to priortise backing up entire directories onto a single disc (eg not putting one song from a 12 song album onto 12 seperate discs)
    • Generates reports of what is on each disc
    • Backs up data in a non-propriety format (I don't need to original backup program to restore)
    • Makes most efficient use of the 4.7 GB available, by putting larger files in first, and filling up the rest with smaller files that need backup
    • If possible, compresses data before backup
In that order. Money is no object ;-)

It will largely be used for backing up multiple .iso files to DVD, alongside mp3s and avis (and yes, I realise that compression will do sweet FA for these formats)

If you have other suggestions that stray from my spec above, please let me know also. I just need new stuff backed up to DVD with reports.

    Thanking you in advance

Well the only backup tool I've used is Norton Ghost. That has options for incremental backups, as you specify, can write direct to DVDs, CDs or hard disk partitions.
"Backs up data in a non-propriety format"
not sure about that one, I think it uses it's own compression format. You just need a boot disk to restore full images though, possibly partial backups too but I don't know.

It does compress the backups too.

Nah, nah, this is a direct image, and it's dreadfully complex to setup. I just need something that'll do it from inside Windows. I don't think ghost can do that. I think it just does full disc clones anyways...

    Thanks anyway though.

    Are there any other suggestions?

No, Ghost can also do backups from within Windows, at least version 9 or greater anyway. You can select the folders to backup and the frequency of the backup too.
