    Ok some of u might remember me posting threads about learning the guitar and well thats all behind me now, i have come on pretty well but at this point im stuck, i have taught myself from learning internet tabs and i find that almost 90% of tabs found on the internet can be way off, im thinkin are chords the way to go ? and also now that i will be finished college soon im thinkin of gettin lessons so if anyone knows anywhere in south dublin give me a shout !:confused:

    its just a case of putting in the time i'm afraid. tabs are wrong alot, learn to rely on your ear and if your stuck check a tab.

    yeah ive noticed that when im playing through a tab ill play a different note that sounds better then what is on the tab, i think thats a good sign. I dont know maybe more practice is needed.

    Basically all tab is is the way someone thinks a tune is played. If you're always following someone else you'll struggle to develop your own style as a player. Use you ears and try to figure things out yourself, experiment with playing the same thing on different parts of the fretboard, not just where tab tells you.

    Get your self a nice chord book, and try and get some simple scales and theory, Once u know the basics at least its a starting point u can refer to
