35k GTD Party Rebuy and Add-on.

About 100 players left, avg stack is 35k, I have 75k.

    Blinds 600/1200, ante 75

I have been card dead for about 4 rounds, and havent done diddly.

    Preflop
Folded to me in the CO-1 with 6h4h ... I make it 4000 to play, folded to the BB who makes it 8000 to play leaving himself 17k ....... 4000 to call ...whats your move rat fans?

    I hate tourneys.

I think this is a question of implied odds. Without doing any calculations i think his stack isnt deep enough to warrant a call.

With 3-1 pot odds to see the flop though.. I'll call and hope i hit the flop hard even though im pretty sure its 'correct' to fold this. His hand stinks of AA so you'll more than likely stack him if you hit 2pair or better.

easy fold for me, unless yout hit two pair or better on the flop I think you are well behind, it is not worth getting into trouble when you are doing so well in my opinion.

easy fold. you can guarantee he's pushing post flop as he's first to act and has just stuck in over 1/3 his stack.

I figure you got just under 5% chance of outdrawing AA on the flop (i didnt include when he improves). If he always pushes the flop, your calling 4k to win 27k so your odds are really 6.75-1 pf (still nowhere near the odds needed). Also you just might get a free turn increasing your chances slightly. Two other reasons to call: image and you relitive stack. 4k off your stack dosent really affect you at all. You certaintly wont be stealing any time soon again from LP after folding to a minraise.

These factors still dont make a great call! Marginal at best. When i'm bigstack i like to slowly build by taking these small oppurtunities. Folding would mean the end of stealing. I'm still calling this

To continue in the Jason Donovan theme the next thread should be called 'Especially for You'. Even incorporating a bit of Kylie there. Classy.

Why not just re-raise and sing 'I should be so lucky..lucky lucky lucky'

what about my rubber ducky :(

I'm all-in sure, what the hell, it's a tournament right?

Without knowing the opponent it is hard to determine his range... tough one. AA/KK/QQ/JJ/TT cannot be ruled out. It would be an odd way for him to play AK/AQ etc as he is out of position...

It is costing you 4k to win 29k (if we can assume we'll get the rest of his chips on the flop)..

So what do you need to hit in order to make this a call?? 643 flop? you need a raggy flop, 2 pair or maybe a few hearts would do. I might just find a call here depending on the villain. You're still fine with 67k, if he has AA/KK/QQ we're getting nearly 8/1 on our money because he's certainly pushing any flop with those hands... Also, folding will do your image no favours.

In summary, I probably call because it's more fun

Fuzz with your stack and your raise i think folding is bad, sure you'll more than likely end up havin to fold to his push on a useless flop but table image, implied odds, the small chance of hittin the flop hard and your stack dictate you have to call his silly min raise ;)

if ya have the energy just type in something about small PP and move on :)

    Results:
I called ... .stupid pot + implied odds + him pretty clearly having AA/KK.

Flop Qh9h3c ... he shoved, and I called

He had AA. The turn came 4 but the river did not make me laugh.

    tourneys are stupid.
