Linksys WRT54G is a deadly router in general.

    Hey guys,

Having got 40 of them working, I'm fully endorsing that Linksys model. Basically the 360 needs a MTU of 1500 minimum to run, so a lot of modems out there may reject it straight away because their maximum is lower than this figure.

I downloaded a Microsoft demo video of xbox live and they actually recommend a Router that can do both AB&G and they showed the Linksys WRT55AG, as the 360 can use the a band and thus less interference from other wireless devices.

    Cheers

I have a Netopia Wireless router. If I was to get a Linksys WRT54G would that improve my broadband speed?

    Completely off topic.
A very general question which I will give a very general answer to.
No, It will not improve your BB speed.
The Linksys is goo because of its feature set, reliability, ease of use and price.
It will not by miracel make your 2 meg BB connection a 4 meg BB connection.
